The Story:
Altar'd State is where I fell in love with mentoring and teaching young photographers. I was the lead photographer who focused primarily on lifestyle photography while simultaneously managing the e-commerce photography studio. I traveled to various sets out of the state and within the state of Tennessee. This was a fast paced job with little room for rest.
On a weekly basis we would photograph, retouch, and publish over 900 skus.
What I learned: Constructing a team where all feel welcome, appreciated, and heard is worth its weight in gold. Work / Life balance in order to maintain happiness. Retouching at lightning speeds. How to make models laugh when on set and that I need a step stool for almost everything ( coming from a 5ft tall queen). That asking for help is okay.
